Description
The project aims to monitor the populations of two globally threatened crayfish species, Astacus astacus and Austropotamobius torrentium, in the lakes of Prespa, Ohrid, as well as rivers flowing from the Shebenik-Jabllanice National Park to the Shkumbin River. This assessment will provide information on the presence, distribution and assessment of the condition of these crayfish, giving a contribution to the biodiversity of our country. Sampling will be spread over a period of 14 months, with a high frequency at all monitoring stations.
This project is funded as part of a partnership between DIMFE and CEPF.
