It is crucial to combat the many threats to these ecosystems, and this requires concrete actions to protect, restore, and effectively manage these areas.
Coordination and collaboration between donors and field actors is essential to achieve the common goal: protecting freshwater ecosystems and preventing their decline.
DIMFE welcomes new philanthropic actors or foundations committed to protecting freshwater ecosystems in the Mediterranean Basin. Increasing the funding capacity and developing the DIMFE network will enable the Initiative to continue its work and strengthen its capacity.
