Sigrid Rausing Trust joins DIMFE!
News
The Donors’ Initiative for Mediterranean Freshwater Ecosystems is now one partner stronger, with the Sigrid Rausing Trust joining the collaborative. The Trust joins the Aage V. Jensen, Hans Wilsdorf and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundations to pool resources for increased impact in the field.
Thanks to this new partnership, DIMFE will be able to strengthen its funding capacity and continue to support projects in the Mediterranean Basin for the restoration, protection and conservation of freshwater ecosystems. The Sigrid Rausing Trust will support DIMFE by contributing £700,000 to the pooled fund. The agreement was signed in August 2023 for a period of 2 years. The Sigrid Rausing Trust was founded in 1995. Its purpose is to promote the values and principles of human rights, equality and the rule of law, and to preserve nature from further degradation. Through its conservation programme, the Sigrid Rausing Trust supports the restoration and protection of ecosystems, such as wetlands or grasslands.
