Opening of the 2023 Call for Projects of the Donors’ Initiative for Mediterranean Freshwater Ecosystems

The Donors’ Initiative for Mediterranean Freshwater Ecosystems (DIMFE) is launching its third call for projects.
This call focuses on the following themes:
- Conservation and restoration of freshwater biodiversity and ecosystems
- Sustainable use and management of water resources
- Development and implementation of sustainable financing mechanisms for the conservation of freshwater ecosystems and sustainable use of water resources
DIMFE will fund projects adopting a holistic approach that considers community and cultural aspects, such as the inclusion of socio-economic benefits for local populations, promotion of environmentally beneficial cultural practices, and respect for ethnic and gender dimensions.
Selected projects will be considered for funding starting in 2024.
The call for projects will close on October 15, 2023.
