The DIMFE Initiative at Ramsar COP14

Congratulations to the city of Ifrane, which was awarded the "Ramsar Wetland City Label" at Ramsar COP14, held in Geneva from November 5 to 13, 2022. Ifrane thus becomes the first city in Morocco to receive this certification.

This accreditation was achieved through collaboration between the province of Ifrane and other organizations, including Living Planet Morocco, an organization supported through the Donors’ Initiative for Mediterranean Freshwater Ecosystems (DIMFE).

During COP14, DIMFE also had the opportunity to present its actions at the side event organized by the MAVA Foundation on "Financing the Conservation of Wetlands and Freshwater Ecosystems and the Sustainable Use of Water Resources: Successes and Challenges in the Mediterranean."
